WCL’s APALSA, the Asian Pacific American Bar Association of the Greater Washington DC Area (APABA-DC), and the APABA Educational Fund (AEF) will host a dinner to explore the continuing need to empower Asian Pacific American participation in the practice of law and to recognize WCL alumni and students who are committed to serving the APA community. The keynote speaker, Congressman Anh “Joseph” Cao (R-LA-02), will discuss the important legacy of APAs in the legal field and the persistent issues that hold meaning for APA attorneys. He will highlight the ongoing commitment and work needed to ensure justice and equality for all communities in the 21st century. The WCL APALSA Distinguished Service/Alumni Award will be presented to Rosy Lor, WCL ‘04, President of APABA-DC. The WCL APALSA Student Service Award will also be presented to an outstanding third-year law student with a strong and demonstrated commitment to serving the APA community.
