The Guantanamo Detainees: What Next?

As we approach the tenth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, there are still almost 200 detainees at Guantanamo Bay. Basic questions as to their trial for alleged war crimes and their continued detention are still the focus of political debate and remain to be solved. This program will address these important issues. The keynote speaker will be Jack Goldsmith, Henry L. Shattuck Professor of Law at Harvard. He is a former Assistant Attorney General for the Office of Legal Counsel and is the author of The Terror Presidency: Law and Judgment Inside the Bush Administration.
