The law school's UN Committee against Torture (UN CAT) Project is a one-of-a-kind experiential learning opportunity for selected upper-level JD students. Participants engage in a specialized fall seminar on the prohibition of torture under international law, as well as in the Project’s unique field component: accompanying UN CAT Chair/WCL Dean Claudio Grossman to the Committee's official session in Geneva, Switzerland, for one week in late October/early November. Panelists will discuss this remarkable opportunity, as well as the application process and deadline for the 2013 Project: Dean Claudio Grossman (Chair, United Nations Committee against Torture), UN CAT Project Coordinator Jennifer de Laurentiis, Professor Binny Miller, and student participants Ivan Carpio, Arli Christian, Whitney Garrett, Cindy Gierhart, Cyrena Khoury, Natalie Mazur, Anna Nichols, Lindsay Roberts, James Strait, and Erica Lynn Tokar
