Millions of refugees throughout the world find themselves in situations of protracted displacement when years after their initial displacement, there are no apparent prospects for long-term solutions. This discussion seeks to discern the obstacles to promoting protection and finding solutions in prolonged refugee crises. By examining a series of case studies, including Palestinians, Iraqis, and others, panelists will highlight lessons that can be learned across these contexts of protracted displacement and lay out priorities for resolving these refugee crises.
